I know I haven't posted in a while, but this is due to the fact that I don't really use Newgrounds as much to socialize and I've been busy with personal matters.
Anyway, today I'm here to show you the main feature of my game, Isometric World: Frame of Mind, which is using rotation to alter your perspective and interaction with the environment.
As you can see, you are able to interact with the world as if it was in Isometric 2D, despite it being Isometric 3D.
In the game, you'll have to use the ability to perform many actions such as solve puzzles, navigation the world, and make it to the end of the game.
The ability isn't available right away, you'll need an item called the Iso-Rotation Plate. Even with the plate, you won't ALWAYS be able to use it, only when it lets out a ping and glows.
There will also be puzzles and obstacles in the game that will prevent you from using the plate. There are also obstacles that although prevent you from using the plate, will perform the rotation for you.
There is a lot to come, but hopefully, this clip can help give you an idea of what's possible. Just remember to be smart and be careful, but most of all have fun!
Till the next post!
