Temporary Music Fix

Posted by LJTLegendaryL - May 31st, 2017

Hello everyone ^^,

For those of you who listen to my music and follow me here is the reason why it took down my songs and reuploaded them, but removed the ability to download them.

The reason why I did his was because my songs weren't Copyrighted/Registered in my name yet, so I had to take them down to avoid music thieves. After I did that, I then tought of a better solution so that people can still hear my music withouth me having to worry a lot about thievery, so I decided to reupload them but remove the ability to download them in order to prevent people from taking the songs and saying that they made them. (and to those who did do that, you WILL be facing criminal music piracy charges unless you take them down!)

So for now you can listen to the songs but not download them, not until I have them registered.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but its the only other solution I can think of. If you see anyone post my songs and say they created them, please let me know, I worked hard and sacrificed my grades and important events of my life to make the one thing that keeps me happy, Music.

I hope you understand

Bloody hell you've had problems with thievery too? I had a problem about a month ago, with someone reposting my music to their Youtube, Facebook and even worse Bandcamp profile, since I had proof I got Youtube to take the channel down, but bandcamp and Facebook didn't want to know. I removed the Download feature for a while, but at the same time it started actually effecting views, so I reenabled it. I may disable it again. I would do it for most of my releases, but because I've got so many I would be a very lengthy process. Mind you I haven't come across anyone on newgrounds directly ripping me off as of yet, only off site.

hopefully it gets better for you ^^, no one has stolen any of my songs yet. Remember, you can charge them with music piracy, you have the evidence, take them to court to take them down and own the songs you created. Don't let them stop you from having your music rights!

Oh I forgot I have a song called Dystopian peace which I uploaded to Fresh Tunes as part of an album, and someone actually copyrighted my material in the US and the album was taken down. I did get it reinstated but I had to jump through a load of hoops. but this is a really bad problem at the moment.
